The Place of Peace Columbarium

In seeking ways to be of service to our Northern Virginia neighbors, we discovered a need for more interment space for the cremains of loved ones.
In response to this need, we established the Place of Peace Columbarium, a sacred ministry for those in immediate need and those who want to pre-plan.
Situated amid beautiful and quiet gardens, this place of peace invites solitary contemplation as well as being a welcoming space for gatherings of family and friends.
To be able to walk with those preparing for eternal life and to extend Benedictine hospitality and comfort to those who are grieving is a privilege we hold dear.

The Columbarium

Two free-standing, circular units with 80 niches each and one larger 320 niche eclipse unit are harmoniously designed around a central Peace Angel statue. Each niche can hold two urns. Marble benches provide resting places for quiet reflection. Parking is on site and the area is accessible to all. Our price includes the niche, all engraving, openings/closings, and perpetual care. Please contact us for the current prices.

Services/Visiting

We welcome clergy to preside at interments as part of the funeral rite or as its own service. Your needs at this difficult time are our highest priority and are part of the services we offer. Visiting the Columbarium is encouraged from dawn to dusk each day. While here, you may also want to visit our other sacred spaces, including gardens, labyrinth, and prayer silos.

We welcome people of all faith traditions.

Please consider a visit to our monastery and the Place of Peace Columbarium!
